Next week, we will all be bringing in the New Year. Although we say it every year, 2013 was a crazy year, filled with ups and downs (for the bulk of us, there were more downs). Given economic troubles, people have had to put their dreams on hold. This has been going on since 2008. Thankfully, we have seen signs of improvements in 2013, and the economy is making strides. From all accounts, it seems that 2014 will be a MUCH better year than 2013 was, with many people deciding that it’s finally time to realize those dreams and get life back on track. Entering 2014 with a positive, I can do anything attitude will do wonders for the rest of the year.
At Virginia Skydiving Center, we believe the best way to bring in the New Year is by skydiving. It is a life affirming activity, which will do wonders for the psyche and the soul. Skydiving is exactly the kind of pick-me-up you’ll need for 2014, an intense rush that will propel you through the months. If anything, a skydiving jaunt proves that there’s still blood pumping through your body; that no matter what fate throws at you, you have the drive and courage to overcome any obstacle.
2013 was full of inspirational skydiving stories, like the wounded veterans who took to the skies above Florida in December as a part of Florida Wounded Warrior Weekend. As per this article, courtesy of Myfoxtampabay.com, “More than 50 wounded vets attended. […] Among those on hand was Joseph William Kittinger II, an 85-year-old retired colonel.” Not only was this for a great cause, as it united heroic veterans of all ages, it also proved that being “wounded” is only a state of mind. The spirit is always soaring; sometimes we need to be reminded of that. This is just one inspirational story. Check our blog for other great examples!
Let’s make 2014 the year of realizing your dreams. We’ve all had a rough go at it the past few years, but we have persevered. Now it’s time to demonstrate our willingness to dream big. Contact Virginia Skydiving Center today and book the skydiving adventure of your life!
